My name is Terence A. Townsend. I was born and raised in Temple, TX. Raised in a single parent household by my mother, Paula S. Townsend, I attended Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Dr. C. Edward Maze. I received my license to Minister the Gospel, at the age of 18, in May of 1991 and graduated from Temple High School the same year. Since then I have served with many ministries, including church start-ups, as a vital part of their growth and programming. I moved to Dallas to work and attend school. While there, I served as a founding member of Sons Of God Ministry Inc. This ministry was in association with New Horizon Ministries of Richmond, VA; where I received my ordination. I met my future wife Jacqueline while on a business trip in Dallas, TX. We fell in love and married December 1999. Both Jacqueline & I love the Lord and felt a strong leading to serve in the Ministry of the Gospel of Christ. She presently is studying business and law at Baylor University. We have 4 children together. In 2000, I was called to serve as youth pastor at Corinth Baptist Church, which is lead by their pastor, Dr. U.C. Barnes. After a year of service, God released me from this post with the instructions found in these verses of scripture: (Luke 9:1-6 KJV) 1) Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases. 2) And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick. 3) And he said unto them, Take nothing for your journey, neither staves, nor scrip, neither bread, neither money; neither have two coats apiece. 4) And whatsoever house ye enter into, there abide, and thence depart. 5) And whosoever will not receive you, when ye go out of that city, shake off the very dust from your feet for a testimony against them. 6) And they departed, and went through the towns, preaching the gospel, and healing every where." After that, I founded Kingdom Builders Ministry (http://www.mychurch.com/kingdombuildersministry) as a non-denominational fellowship he has hosted in His home since April of 2001. I also established Kingdom Builders Ministry Network.(http://www.kbmn.org) KBMN is an outgrowth of Kingdom Builders Ministry. Through KBMN we help establish, build and mentor the growth of bible believing churches & ministries under the Kingdom Builders Ministry covering throughout the world.
